(Portrait)

Rachel's art is like the woman herself: honest, pleasant, and happy to find the joy in simple things, yet layered with interest. It's not evident that either is striving to supersede the moment, yet each leaves a lasting impression. Life can be simple and beautiful.

Discovering in college that she actually IS creative, Rachel began to paint. Uncomfortable with being confined to one discipline, she explores the impact of combining different media together into one piece. Any given work may include Acrylic, Water Color, Ink, Collage, and a dash of Rachel. She draws from these many materials to create depth and texture in a way that any one specialty would leave short.

Rachel creates to share a part of herself, to express herself. But, she leaves it to the observer to find a specific impression in her work. You are invited to feel what you feel - there are no wrong answers.
